At Tech Surgeon AV we want our customers to be 100% satisfied with our repair services. We offer a 60 Day Limited* Warranty on our parts and labor. Please read below for details of Terms and Conditions for our repair services.

Terms and Conditions for Repair Services

We want to provide transparency for our repair services. Our printed Terms and Conditions can be found on the back of our invoices, as well as on this page of our website. Our customers are expected read, understand and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions prior to rendering their device(s) for repair.

Repair Risks and Device Data

  • I understand that Tech Surgeon AV (TSAV) is not an authorized service dealer, and that repairs rendered by TSAV may void manufacturer warranties for this device(s). Tech Surgeon AV does not assume any liability in the event that the manufacture warranties are voided.

  • I understand that electronic components are sensitive and volitile in nature and can fail at any given time without notice. I understand that Tech Surgeon AV offers no verbal or written warranty, either expressed or implied, regarding the SUCCESS of this repair and I expressly waive all claims against TSAV for any damages to this device(s) or data that is lost due to the repair rendered by TSAV.

  • I understand that as a result of submitting my personal device for repair it could be subject to loss, theft, and/or damage due to vandalism. TSAV is not responsible for any loss if any of these unforeseen incidents occur.

  •  I understand that Apple phones with cracked or damaged displays may cause typing without user input. As a result, the phone may be locked or disabled due to typing caused by screen damage. In the event that phone becomes disabled, data on the device may be lost. TSAV is not responsible for any data lost due to device damage.

  • I understand that I, the owner of this device, have backed up all data on a hard disk or Cloud storage in which I want to preserve. I also understand that TSAV is not responsible for any lost data, and waive any legal action against this company. I understand that the data on this device is not the responsibility of Tech Surgeon AV, and may be lost during the repair process.

  • TSAV values and respect our customers' privacy. Our technicians will not browse through your hard drive, memory cards or stroage files looking at your data. However, they may inadvertently see data during the course of their work only if it is related to requested repair ie: Camera replacement, data recovery. If possible, please remove any personal or private files or images prior to repair.

Pre-Checklist and Passcodes

  • I understand that TSAV will ask for my device passcode/password prior to rendering repair services for the purpose of verification of functions. (Touch ID, Face ID, Ear speaker, Front/Rear Cameras, Home Button, WiFi, Bluetooth, Microphone, Cellular Network, Charging functions, ect.)

  • I understand that if I, the customer, opt out of providing Tech Surgeon AV with the device passcode/password, the Pre-Checklist to verify device functions cannot be completed.

  • I understand that if TSAV is unable to perform a Pre-Checklist due to customer's declination of providing device passcode or if the device display is non-operational at the time of submission, device functions cannot be validated and the company DOES NOT assume responsibility for any additional functions that are not working properly after the completion of requested repair. These unverified functions are not covered under the cost of the original repair and will only be fixed at an additional cost at the expense of the customer.

Sales and Services Policy

  • ALL SALES ARE FINAL FOR PARTS AND LABOR. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED ONCE REPAIR IS COMPLETED.

  • All Diagnostic Fees are Non Refundable and will be collected prior to service.

  • All Deposits collected for special order parts or items are Non-Refundable.

  • If customer requests specific repair and/or supplies parts without proper diagnostics from TSAV, ALL LABOR SERVICE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

60 Day Limited Warranty

  • Our 60 Day Warranty for parts ONLY covers for MANUFACTURE DEFECTS on the replacement part(s). Manufacture defects consist of: unresponsive areas on screen, apps opening or typing without user's input, or any malfunction in the replacement part without signs of physical damage or tampering. The warranty for replaced part(s) is valid for up to 60 days after the original date of the repair. 

  • Our warranty DOES NOT cover for ANY physical damage (drops, cracks, lines or black areas on display, screen lifting, dents to casing/frame, exposure to extreme temperatures), liquid damage (liquid spills or immersion). If ANY signs of physical damage or tampering is noted upon inspection of the replaced part(s) the warranty is considered VOID and the customer will be charged in full for the cost of repairs.

  • All warranty repairs are LIMITED to a MAXIMUM of 2 replacements.

  • Our 60 day warranty DOES NOT apply to any of the following:

    • Customer supplied parts not purchased through TSAV​

    • Any repairs requested by the customer without proper diagnostics. TSAV is not responsible for any new symptoms/issues not directly related to the original repair service requested and performed on device.

    • Water damage repairs. Any successful repairs on water damaged devices preformed by TSAV is for the sole purpose of data reccovery. TSAV does not provided any warranty period in terms of the longevity of device function. 

    • Any software issues, including virus removal and/or operating system installation

Device Pick up  and Storage Time Limit

  • A Pink Copy of our invoice will be given to customer at time of device drop off as proof of customer submission of device(s) for repair services. Drop off receipt will contain a printed copy Repair Terms and Conditions as agreed to by customer. Customer must provide Pink Copy at time of device pick up.

  • All devices must be picked up within 1 week of repair completion or customer notification if device is unrepairable. 

  • All devices that are not picked up within 1 week of notification will be subjected to a storage fee of $20 per week.

  • Due to our limited storage capacity, we will hold on to devices for up to 60 calendar days after customer notification if device is unrepairable. I Understand that TSAV is not responsible for items not claimed within 60 calendar days of the date of customer notification as stated on the invoice. 

  • I understand that Tech Surgeon AV will recycle or sell any device not picked up after 60 days of repair completion in order to recoup the repair cost of the device.

  • Any devices left after the 60 day period will be considered abandoned and will become property of TSAV.
